Protogyn 500mg Tablets contain tinidazole, an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent. This medication is commonly used to treat a variety of infections, including: Parasitic Infections: Giardiasis, intestinal amoebiasis, hepatic amoebiasis, and amebic liver abscess. Vaginal and STD-related Infections: Bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis (even strains resistant to metronidazole). Surgical Prophylaxis: To prevent anaerobic bacterial infections during surgery. Other Bacterial Infections: Including H. pylori eradication (in combination with other medications) and acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis.

Protogyn treats and prevents infections caused by protozoa and anaerobic bacteria, providing rapid relief and preventing recurrence when taken as prescribed.

For bacterial vaginosis: A single dose of 2g or 500mg twice daily for 5–6 days. For parasitic infections: 2g daily for 2–3 days.
